John Stockton will be back this season.: But does anybody care? Are the Jazz relevant? They aren't fun to watch, so does that make them dead-weight to the NBA marketing machine?
Or am I just tired of hearing Bill Walton talk about how 'this is the way the game is supposed to be played'?

I am tired of hearing Bill Walton talk, period. In order to spice up the Jazz vs. Lakers games, make John wear Shaq's shorts and vice versa. Much like Shaq did a while back.

I am tired of hearing Bill Walton talk, period. I agree.

Me three. I enjoy watching the Jazz play, FWIW- as much as I dislike listening to Walton, I'm a fan of passing and fundamentals, which the NBA is generally in stupidly short supply of. It's why I'll watch NCAA women's basketball before I'll watch the NBA.

I must be on crack, I enjoy listening to Bill Walton. He is hi-larious.

I don't mind Walton at all. He does have the odd cringeworthy statement, but he brings a modicum of technical cred to the announcers booth. Now, Bob Costas on the other hand... As for the Jazz, it's too bad that Stockton will never get a championship, but it's not like they didn't have their chances.

I would listen to Bob Costas cover anything. World's Strongest Man. World Putt-putt championships. Iron Chef (oh, man, that would be great!) Or just the International Grass-Growing Championships.

If somebody was still willing to pay you mad cash to do something you love, you still had plenty of years to enjoy retirement in front of you, and you were sure as hell still getting it done, would you quit your job? Stockton's cool man. Little white boy can PLAY.

Costas grates on my nerves, constantly straining to work all of his witty pre-game material into his broadcasts.

As long as we're venting, Karl Malone also pisses me off.

No one cares and the Jazz relevancy card has been revoked. That says, Stockton and Malone are still worth watching as long as they're watching.

My bad. That said, Stockton and Malone are still worth watching as long as they're walking.

Maybe you're just tired of hearing Bill Walton talk(I sure am), and so anything he associates with good, you automatically associate with evil. Stockton is old, but he can play. I can't blame him, 19 seasons and no championship. Next year won't be his year either, unless they pick up some great players and can get past the behemoths in the West.
