Hidden: What was the greatest sports feat ever accomplished?: I have never tried to post before so I am hoping this works with the url and whatnot. Anyway Yahoo has asked this question under their Yahoo Answers feature and some of the responses have driven me crazy. When I think greatest I think most impressive, or to me least likely to be repeated. I have to go with Cy Young 511 career wins. Only one pitcher (Bob Welch) has won more than 25 in any single season in the last 20 years. You would have to win 25 a year for 20 years to approach that record.

Thank you for the link and I apologize for not seeing it before. I still think it makes for interesting discussion even though greatest sports feat ever does not constitute specific and Cy Young does not constitute news.

Kyrilmitch, it might make for interesting discussion, but without a good link, it would be better at other open discussion sites.
