Hank Williams Jr. to Continue MNF Anthem: Jr. has put together one kick-ass group. A real motley crue.
I don't think that's Hank Williams Jr. anymore under that cowboy hat, beard and shades. It's Chuck Norris. Why? Because Chuck Norris kicks ass. (Seriously, Williams is the Keith Richards of football.)

If the song kicked ass, now or at any time in the past, including the original recorded version, then forrestv, I'd buy your theory. But come on, it doesn't. I was kind of hoping they'd draft his kid to do a new theme. Now that would have been reason to make sure your Tivo's working and set up proper-like.

Chicobangs, in all seriousness, I was hoping it was Chuck Norris in disguise. Thanks for squashing my dreams. All I have left to console me is the fact that when the world ends, cockroaches, Hank Willams Jr. and Keith Richards will all still be alive. (Chuck Norris too.)

That was the first damn thing I thought of when I saw this FPP. Especially if he did the song as Assjack. Every football fan needs a weekly dose of death metal.

I was hoping the same thing. Hank III rocks. Hank Jr. is just tired and his song is lame. "...C'mon you gotta listen unto me, Lay off that whiskey and let that cocaine be!! Sooey!"

His song is lame. Couldn't agree more. It's time to move on with something new. Between the Monday Night Football theme and the Coors Light "Twins" f-ing crappy song (which ESPN plays on it's review show), networks overplay these things until people want to open a wrist. With all the music out there in the world, there must be better choices.

That "Twins" crap is exactly why I don't want a new MNF song. I am almost sure that it won't be better than the current song. And, we all now how much worse it can be from hearing ESPN reuse that Twins song week after week. It's a scary thought.
