Woods Finishes Off Ames at Match Play : If Tiger plays that good the rest of the week, no one will come close. Tiger was awesome today.
They must have only paid for nine holes.

i respect Tiger's game and abilities, (arguably the best ever) but he is not going to shoot 29 on the front side every round this week, and if there is a chink in his armor, it is most vulnerable at match play. Tiger sure put Ames in his journeyman's place, though. Ames, walk softly and talk not bad about Tiger's big stick.....

Top class reaction and top class quote. Still don't fancy him to win it though.

Tiger has a test today against Chad Campbell. Toms/Lehman and DiMarco/DLIII are also quite interesting. btw...I'm taking Campbell, 3&1. All in all the matches are really shaping up well. Wish I could split from work and do some relaxing with it on television.

Why would you try to psyche out one of the fiercest competitors in all of sports? I can't decide if this, "It's not physical, where you go up there and put a shoulder in somebody and take him out," Woods said. "It's about the ability to bear down and pull out quality golf shots on your own, and put an inordinate amount of pressure on you're opponent. That's the only thing you can do in our sport." Or this, Asked about his reaction to Ames' comments in a press conference, Woods said, "Nine and eight." is my favorite quote.
