Did You Strike?: The baseball fans attempt to send MLB a message by staying away from the ballpark today. Is this any good, or a futile exercise - because baseball really doesn't care about the fans anymore?

How about anyone who goes to game wear a tie until Bud Selig apologizes or until the season ends (which ever comes first)?

Baseball Prospectus has two cents on the strike. I tend to agree; it's a little silly, and a complete waste of time.

That Baseball Prospectus article is worth a read. I've been striking since 1994. At least box scores are still free. The purpose of a fan strike seems to be to deny the players and owners income. This is obviously futile. But that doesn't mean you have to give them your money. Just boycott it yourself and let others spend or don't spend their money how they wish. Go see you local college or high school team play. The beauty and rhythm and strategy of baseball is on full display from the high school level and above.
