Badgers give Alvarez a goodbye kiss.: And as the sports announcers were spewing 'Auburn this, Auburn that, Auburn the other thing,,,' Wisconsin went in and kicked their bum but good.
Sorry to see Barry go.

Better dead than red. I hope Bucky goes back to a worthless Big 10 teamm with a half filled Camp Randall. (disgruntled Gopher fan)

it was a much needed win for the big 10. they were 0-4 up till this game. it was good to see a very good coach go out by butt kicking what was supposed to be the far better team. See ya barry. you were great for the game

they were 0-4 up till this game No thanks to dumbassed Sun Belt officials. Note to self: Send letter requesting the NCAA to send the Sun Belt conference to where it belongs, in Division Two.

Maybe a Big 10 title next year I dont know This team wasn't supposed to be anything after their defense was drafted by the NFL. They played really impressively This season, and I think that they could have a decent shot at playing on the 4th or 5th of january next year.

Barry just plain made Big Ten Football...what it is today Not so sure. He's a good coach but (even ignoring Paterno since PSU "just" joined the Big Ten 15ish years ago), there have been enough very good Michigan, Ohio State, Iowa, etc teams to say Big Ten football would have been what it is today without Barry Alvarez. I'm not saying he's not a great coach. I'm just saying he didn't "make" the conference.

Ohio State last night showed they will be the class of the conference again next year given how many players, including that awesome QB, will be back.

Oh, come on emoeby! I'm a Michigan fan but when bowl season comes around, I realize that it's my job to pull for every Big Ten team. I know that being a UMN fan must take a huge psychic toll on you, with them sucking year in and year out, and playing their home games indoors on plastic grass, but you gotta share the joy when the Badgers and Buckeyes both beat their opponents so convincingly. Also, Sun Belt officials have no business officiating real football, and Brady Quinn is as overrated as any college player since Ron Powlus.

As far as the Sun Belt goes, they absolutely should be relegated to the lower divisions of college football. Division I-A, in general, should only include teams which (in theory) can win the national championship, or at least make it to one of the larger bowls. It is quite obvious that 30-40% of D I-A teams will never play in a bowl game that runs after Dec. 26.

The announcers tried willing Auburn back into the game throughout. From trying to generate imagenary momentum to posing the theory that the badgers had a distinct disadvantage because there sideline was in the hot hot sun. Comical. Barry just plain made Big Ten Football...what it is today No Way. Barry just plain made Wisconsin Football

We should send the NCAA a petition trying to send the Sun Belt down to Division Two. Then again, I'm not sure I could cope with the loss of North Texas.....

Myself, I got a little tired of hearing how good the Auburn Tigers were from the all-knowing announcers. They didn't even mention the fact that Auburn was shut out in the first half by the stingy Badger defense. And the defensive coordinator is taking over for Barry next year. Maybe a Big 10 title next year?
