I wonder if they will allow the victim to be buried under the pitch.

Joey Barton is a twat as well. Just ask the youth team member who had a cigar stubbed out in his eye, or the Everton fan who he punched. It must run in the family.

Fuck. An ice-axe? And a hate-crime? It may be tangentially at best sports-related, and I know he's young and all, but jebus...twattage indeed.

Satan is working overtime...

I'm with Ufez. There's no using age as an excuse. I don't know how you guys were brought up, but the difference between right and wrong is obvious even to a small child. By the time you are old enough to swing an ice axe, you are fully responsible for your actions.

When did it become an ice axe? All this time I've been picturing a kinda hatchet thing. And the fact that it was burried in the kid's head when they found him. Satan is working overtime... It's spelt: B-a-r-t-o-n, mate.

Lest we forget, this is about Joey Barton's brother not Joey himself. I wonder if they will allow the victim to be buried under the pitch. I'm not really sure what you're trying to say here GoBirds. For one thing the murder wasn't anything to do with Manchester City Football club. It was about a teenager being murdered because of the colour of his skin; which really isn't something to joke about.

Senseless. But the relationship to sports is tenuous at best. I wish we had more punishment-fit-the-crime-in-an-ironic-sense justice. That way this kid would get sent to prison in the USA. "In here, you're the minority, whitey."

Just trying to expand the wide world of sports news beyond the front page of ESPN.

Just to be clear, I don't have any issues with the post itself as I think it's fairly clearly sports-related. It might plausibly even have some SpoFi EPL FFL import too, as a number of the players have Joey Barton in their squad and who knows whether he'll be in any state to play this weekend?

Walker's mother Gee said outside the court she was satisfied with the verdict and would try to forgive her son's killers. "At the point of death, Jesus said 'I forgive them because they don't know what they do.' I've got to forgive them," she told reporters. The Walker's mother is a lot more forgiving then I would be in this situation. I would probably say something like "grab your ankle and start squealing you fucking cracker bitch. "
