November 19th, 2004...a date that will live in infamy. : Tomorrow is the first anniversary of the brawl between the Pacers and the Pistons and their fans. Bomani Jones looks at the major players a year later, to see if things have changed for the better...or worse...

The Pacers had there best chance at an NBA title last year. Their actions cost them the season. Reggie gone and attitudes remaining the same I see the pacers as the 3rd best team in the east.

"Pacers and Pistons suck" Who has won the Eastern Conference championship the last two years, the NBA title two years ago, and consecutive 50 win seasons before that championship? Not the Sixers dumbass.

Instead of having an interesting conversation about the state of the NBA, their public perception, and what the impact of their various PR moves has been, Dav starts the post off right by immediately acting like a fuckwad. Thanks Dav, for lowering the bar yet again. Oh and by the way, Sixers suck, they have no depth, they won't make it past the first round of the playoffs. Mark it down. OMG UR DUM LOLZ!!!1ONE

I didn't know this was a flame fest, thanks for starting the day off right Dav, your insight is remarkable. I think the NBA is still full of thuggery, albeit a bit better dressed thugs. I found the Artest incident reprehensible at the time and still do. I think the only way to make the NBA even a little bit "watchable" is to take away the guaranteed multi year contracts and have the players "fight" for something important...like a spot on the roster.

TO vs Artest? My money is on the Pacers bench.

Pacer's are playing like crap so far this year. I'll trade this years team straight up for last years with no complaints. Jermaine O'Neal in particular is getting out-played on a nightly basis. And they don't seem to care about defense. Whenever they decide to start playing hard they might be a good team.
