Why did the driver take him home instead of going to the hospital?

Why does gunfire follow this guy?

I doubt they were up to any good still out running around at 630. I'd like to know the whole story before I feel sorry for anyone.

No kidding Uncle Toby There is always a robot who makes that comment though. We should write a computer program that searches for the term shooting and time of day. If the time is late at night the program would automatically generate a post that says 'so and so said nothing good happens after 2AM ... blah blah blah' Save people from having to retype tired old platitudes. What I don't understand is what people like kcfan and erkno are advocating. Are they really so scared of the big bad nightime that they think everyone should be home and in bed because *something bad might happen*.

My brothers wife was in labor, around 4 am in philly. My brother works in some back alley factory up there. he cut through some "bad section" to get to the hospital faster. Some guy approachs the car asking for a lite.My brother in the process of rolling up the window says he doesnt smoke. The guy sticks a .22 thru the window and fires.Bullets miss his spine by inches. The police "DEMAND" he was trying to buy dope. they dont find out till the next day that he's been a minister for the past 14 years. And his last nine drung tests from his job were negative. Stop assuming things. I read that thread about thomas herrion. How dumb did the people feel who "assumed" he did drugs? I mean even if this guy was looking to buy a dime bag of weed. Does he deserve to get shot for it?

Stop assuming things. I read that thread about thomas herrion. How dumb did the people feel who "assumed" he did drugs? I mean even if this guy was looking to buy a dime bag of weed. Does he deserve to get shot for it? I am sure that there is some explanation as to what Blatche was actually doing out at that time of day. There will be some assumption as to why he was shot. In this type of case there are always who speculate as to what happen. The Truth is that we dont know. That said, I dont get upset about people asumming the worse. Bad things tend to happen at night. Years ago, I was mugged late one evening. If it would have been daylight, I wouldnt have been walking drunk, alone and with $400.00 + cash on my person. At the time I was young and stupid and didnt know any better. (we are talking 30 years ago) So when I hear something like this, I tend to lend toward the most violent of events. Like I said before, my thoughts and prayers go out to Blatche and I hope he recovers fully. My thoughts and prayer also go out to the shooter. It would seem to me this person has some issues.

to Mike McD, sorry for the cheeseball comment. i will not try to use overused cliches ever again. I am not veteran enough to this site to know what has been played out and what hasn't. I'll make sure I review the site before I express an opinion to make sure it hasn't been expressed before. I had a friend who was shot about three years ago and it almost killed him and definitely derailed a once promising baseball career. My friend was drinking and was running his mouth to the wrong guy. These things happen, but he definitely didn't deserve to be shot. I feel sorry for the kid who was shot, and no matter what the situation was, he didn't deserve it. Maybe he was up early on his way to the gym to work out or on his way to early tee time. I hope he recovers and has a succesful NBA career.

I think there is some parts he left out owlhouse. I've never heard of ministers being drug tested before, and we have some on my moms side of the family.
