Tree Limb Falls at Baltusrol: Shortly after Tiger Woods played the hole, a giant tree limb fell on several people near the tee box on Baltusrol's fourth hole during the second round of the PGA Championship, injuring a spectator and a member of the TNT Sports crew.

This was a bigger deal than the brief makes it sound. TNT's crew was under the 200-year-old tree when the limb broke, and the crew member suffered a serious leg injury and was taken off in a neck brace.

Tiger's struggling on the course, at even with six or seven holes left, around three shots above the anticipated cut.

It sounds like that guy was lucky he wasn't hurt more than he was. And Tiger's screaming at his tee shot as it goes into the bunker at 15. He's got the weekend off, I'd reckon. It's alright. Mickelson's run off and hid with the thing at the halfway point anyway. He's been known to collapse in the past, but not the way he's played so far this last couple of days.

Tiger is one shot from making the projected cut. Remember, there are two par 5's left on the course. Tee shot on 16 in the fairway.

It has been said that the tree is coming down at the end of the round.

He's got the weekend off, I'd reckon. Nope...birdie on 18 after bogey on 17 to make the cut. He missed several putts he should be making. Only two sub 65's will get him close to a win...and that may not be enough.

Second shot on 17 was unbelievable...carry's to the pin in two...takes a weird shank/bounce off the side of the bunker to leave it pinned against the back edge of the bunker. He had to go out sideways to the rough and couldn't get it up and down from there. That 2nd shot was very impressive, only Daly has made that green in 2 during competition...horrible luck on the bounce. Welcome to my world, Tiger (except it would have been my 4th or 5th shot to take that bounce...not my second!)

I can't believe the horrible break he got on 17. Two fantastic shots only to get a bad bounce into the sand. Tiger hit a bunch of very good shots today only to get nothing from it. I think it was 13 where he hit his second almost pin high and it bounced like it was on concrete. He did miss a few putts but tomorrow he'll go out early and the greens will be softer. A low 60 can be had if he hits it like he did today on the back 9.

I wonder how long 17 is from the ladies tee?

I can see the headline now: Woods Struggles, Wood Sticks It To TNT

Tiger's second shot on 17 was the stuff of legend. He was one good bounce from being the third person ever to hit the green in two at that hole, following John Daly and another golfer in the '60s. I love the fact that he went for it, risking his chances at making the cut.
