Embedded journalism in a foreign unit: SI writer Tom Verducci spent five days in uniform at the Blue Jays' training camp. What did he learn? How to avoid getting caught by the ol'-hidden-ball trick, for starters.

What dusted said. I have never felt so envious reading an online article before.

I have this lump in my throat. It's raw, unfiltered jealousy. He got to hang out with my favourite (and local) team!

Apparently he'll have a much more extensive feature on this in the March 14 issue of SI. I'm gonna have to pick that one up.

Excellent read, DrJohn. Thanks. That guy's a total bastard. I can't believe he didn't call and invite me!

yeah, i'm jealous. he is a bastard. but did anyone notice how easy it was for him? it would have been nice to see more humility injected into the piece. but i guess that speaks to the hospitality of the blue jays.

Now maybe he can go before Congress and tell them they have more important shit to worry about. How about gas prices? What exactly does the Energy and Commerce Commission have to do with baseball anyway?
