Parcells must prove he's no quitter: No one has been terribly hard on Parcells for the sorry state of these Cowboys this season. If anyone's earned a free pass on a losing season, it's him. Yet make no mistake: As history will remember his legacy, there will be no free pass for walking out on the Dallas Cowboys.
Once and for all, Bill Parcells needs to make a stand.
Well, he does have a history of leaving, but at his age, if he cares about his legacy at all I think he'll give it at least another year. Joe Gibbs, Parcells...not a good year for older coaches.

Yeah, but with each team, he at least had some varying success. Two Super Bowl wins with the Giants, a Super Bowl appearance with the Pats, the AFC Championship game with the Jets. I don't see him having two lackluster years in Dallas and just bolting. Then again, I don't see the Cowboys improving much from this year to next unless Drew Henson and Julius Jones both come out as stellar players. Bill's unwillingness to stray from the Testaverde/Eddie George combo this year is going to hurt next year's team. He can say he hasn't given up this season yet all he want....everyone else already has.

John Gonzalez had some pretty tough words for Parcells and the pokes in our local alt-weekly this week. I don't see Parcells leaving next year though. I don't think he has it in him. As much of a Cowboy hater as I am, I respect him too much to see him pulling a move like that.
