MetroStars get a home: Following Columbus, Los Angeles, Dallas and Chicago, the MetroStars annouced a plan to build a 25,000 seat soccer-specific stadium in Harrison, NJ.

The Burn are going through an overhaul this off-season on their way up to Frisco, new "business partners" and they're changing their name. Oddly, they've got the name selected, but won't say what it is. They're having a contest wherein if you guess it correctly, you get free season tickets next year. If more than on person guesses it, there's some kind of tie-breaker. The rumor mill has it at FC Dallas, but we'll see. My entry: The Frisco Great White Flight.

FC Dallas seems like a good choice, very football traditional. Congrats to the MStars, Harrison is a good location for them accessible but still in the urban zone (no white flight, Ufez). They're owned by AEG which is looking for but so far not getting a similar deal in San Jose for their Earthquakes. There's a pre-game rally next Wednesday to show support if anyone has the chance to show up. SoccerSililconValley, of which I'm a part, is trying to organize community support.
