The curse of the Habs: (or, another supernatural reason why Tampa Bay won't win). It's actually pretty easy to picture the ghost of Rocket Richard smirking in the rafters of the Saddledome.

Interesting factoid. Here's hoping the curse continues. And it's good to see some hockey stories again. After 11 days I was beginning to wonder if I was the only person till watching hockey around here.

Hopefully this curse can overcome the more recent trend of Tampa Bay being undefeated this year when Brad Richards scores a goal (7 games in the playoffs, 20+ more in the regular season). Yeah...I think I would probably take Rocket Richard over Brad Richards....

So would I. Can you imagine if PEI started riots for Richards like Montréal did for Richard? I'm picturing four people with placards and about three dozen Japanese tourists taking pictures.

Upon further review it turns out the Lightning are actually 8-0 in the playoffs when Richards scores a goal (and 30-0-2 in the regular season). He has 7 game winning goals in the playoffs, which is a single-season playoff record. I wonder if the Conn Smythe trophy will be enough to ignite some PEI rioting.
