Clyde glides in to the Basketball Hall of Fame.: To be inducted this fall, Clyde, member of the Phi Slamma Jamma fraternity, says he is going in as a Blazer, where he put up impressive stats, and was an all star eight times with no championships. He got his title in 1995 with the Rockets and Olajuwon. Other career highlights include being a member of the original Olympic Dream Team, making alot of drinking enthusiasts, well, drunk.

Wow, that drinking game looks like it would've been fun. And of course, massive props to the Glide who I never really liked but always respected. As an aside, besides Colangelo, has anyone else heard of any of the other 4 that were inducted? I know the Basketball HOF is a different beast when compared to Cooperstown or Canton but still....who the hell are these people?

only one i've heard of is Woodard, who was the first woman to play with the globetrotters (it was in the 80s if i remember correctly).

When I was playing grade school basketball, my team adopted the Phi Slamma Jamma Houston Cougars as our favorite squad. I was Olajuwon by merit of being the tallest. My friend Tim was Michael Young and my friend Scott was Clyde the Glide Drexler. He had a great college career and a great pro career and is most deserving of the honor, and it's a nice little reward to the loyal Portland fans that he goes in as a Blazer.
