It's remarkable (and shouldn't be taken for granted) how viable and enduring the Carolina and Nashville hockey teams are compared to the shitshows that ended up costing Atlanta not one but two NHL franchises.

Part of it may have to do with Atlanta sports fans noted for being a bit light on the rabid enthusiasm, personified by the vision of Ted Turner and Jane Fonda nodding off in their seats during Braves World Series games.

Although I must admit that if I was hanging with Jane Fonda, I'd like to think that I'd be a bit wiped out by the time I got to the ballpark.
