UAB has made post-Dilfer interim head coach Alex Mortensen the permanent HC.

Seems like there's good and bad to that.

Mortensen is deserving of opportunity. But should it happen at a place like UAB?

I was hoping he'd move on to a better program in a better place as an OC or in other position rather than have to shovel all the Dilfer manure out of the room to find the pony in there somewhere.

I hope my excitement will appear once the games actually start but I'm really starting to dread the run up to the Cup.
