Two Finals sweeps would not be appreciated.

Also, while rcade was out of town surfing I-95, the Jags decided to pay one of their Clemson first rounders. You can't divert your attention for one second these days.

Jaguars fans: do you think Trevor Lawrence is worth $55 million per season? I am firmly in the camp of "if you like this guy, pay him now because he ain't getting any cheaper as the market gets readjusted with each new contract that his peers are signing."

He's worth it because that's the going rate for your forever quarterback and will look like a discount soon enough.

Lawrence isn't a generational quarterback like Peyton Manning, but he's a really good one. I think he could have a career like Philip Rivers, though I hope he doesn't have the same lack of Super Bowls to show for it.

Lawrence's signing bonus should probably include a PTSD allowance for having endured 13 rookie games before the mast under the command of Urban Meyer.

And I'm just now realizing that Trevor will still play out the remainder of his rookie contract before this extension kicks in. This is a good deal by the Jaguars.

Yes it is. The way the QB market is going, by the time Lawrence's rookie deal runs out, Gardner Minshew will be making 80 million a year.

29 people can say that they got to play in an NBA Finals game tonight.

According to Joe Mazzulla's philosophy, the Mavericks had the Celtics right where they wanted them.
