Rodman starts on the comeback trail.: The 42 year old worm signs with the Long Beach Jam of the ABA. He couldn't sign with an NBA team this summer, but if he can prove himself serious here, come playoff time, could he be more of an asset than a liability? Who could use him?

I think the Nets could maybe use him since they lost 'Zo. Although it seems that Byron Scott has a tenuous grip at best on the Nets so maybe the Worm would be the exact wrong guy to bring aboard. I wonder why it took so long for Rodman to come back? I figured it would happen much sooner.

I think he was having some financial troubles and other matters to take to task in the past year or so, vito. That and playing in the ABA may be a big ol slice of humble pie for him, and he's not a very modest man, so to speak. That said, I think 10-day contracts are eligible sometime in mid-January, and I wouldn't be surprised to see someone take a stab at him if he can stay healthy.

I love Dennis. I've always loved Dennis. That said, I hope this doesn't pan out. I don't mind the off court antics, but he's always brought his own style of wreckless breakneck play to the court in the past and that's the way I wanna remember him. I can't believe he's still got it in him any more.
