Just in case you held out hope that former Baylor men's basketball coach Dave Bliss would ever coach again, the answer is a resounding "No!", not even as a volunteer for his son's high school team.

Harsh? Yes. Too soon? Definitely. His son is a junior, and Bliss would've likely had a much better opportunity if he'd just waited a year and then tried to volunteer. I'd feel bad for the guy if he weren't such an ass. sidebar: I'm a Baylor alumni

" 'Resigned' is a pretty strong word," Opperman said. "He was a stinking volunteer." Got that right. There's no way this guy should be allowed to coach a team again, anywhere. Who would want to play for him, after the way he handled the situation at Baylor? What's to stop him from trying to cover up himself by stabbing a player in the back again?

I don't think it's harsh at all. I have to pass a background check to volunteer at my child's elementary school. Considering the criminal matters that Bliss is involved in, I'm not surprised he wasn't welcome at his son's high school. The guy tried to salvage his basketball program by orchestrating a cover-up to lie about a murdered student athlete. What parent on Earth would want him around their kids?

The only place this guy should ever coach again is on a prison intramural team.

This seems a bit harsh to me.
