Lost internet at home sometime between Friday night and Saturday. No, it wasn't because of the storm; some %#(ing squirrel chewed through the fiber cable. It got repaired today and the technician said that it's a common problem. Evidently there's something in the cable they like. I have to give some credit to the technicians. These guys have been going flat out for a week trying to repair massive outages in Northern New England due to the storm. So now I'm back on full-time to keep up with the real fans.

Sorry to hear that Howard. It's the old "don't park your car near the stone wall" syndrome. The little devils like the soy based sheathing on cables and wires. Many a vehicle has had to have new wiring put in because of this. Sometimes under warranty...sometimes not.
Between that and nefarious dudes stealing catalytic converters, at some point, we'll all be driving like Fred Flintstone.
If we ever hear a future news report that squirrels and chipmunks in southern New Hampshire are on the "verge" of extinction, we'll know who's responsible.*
*A little liturgical humor for all us non-Episcopalians.
