Attempting to make up to fans for those horrible, once-used silver jerseys, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is enlisting the help of rapper-cum-fashionista P. Diddy to design a new alternate home uniform to be debuted in the first home game of next season.

Say whatever you want about him, but Cuban is a brilliant marketer. These will sell like hotcakes. Great link Ufez....

There's a decent chance they will get uglier, jason. But I think hiring P Diddy is more like hiring P Diddy's staff to do them. I don't think that the man actually sits down with some colored pencils and blank paper and does stuff on his own. He may have final approval, but that's about it, if even that. But Cuban is, obviously, a great businessman. I don't love every move he makes or some of the other stuff he does (like come out and talk to a WWF star during a game to promote a wrestling event at the AAC a few days later). He's a ham, but a smart ham, and for the most part, I like him as an owner of the Mavs.

He has final approval over P. Diddy clothing like Colonel Sanders was breading every piece of chicken. Since the Mavericks are from Dallas, I suggest 10-gallon hats, bandanas and assless chaps.
