Agreed. It was said several times by McEnroe and crew, but that kid has got some icy veins for his age.
Great effort by Tiafoe too. He fought his ass off.

Absolutely proud of Tiafoe's performance. Dude gave every ounce of his being to that match, but the kid is just better. It was amazing to me that no shot was safe from Alcaraz. No matter where he was on the court and no matter where Tiafoe put the ball, Alcaraz got to it and returned it. And Lord, how that kid can place the ball on a dime wherever he wants. A tennis freak friend of mine told me that we are witnessing the rise of Rafa 2.0.

I've been watching a lot of Alcaraz before the U.S. Open. He's fast, creative and tireless. His drop shot is great, which has to be exceptionally cruel for his opponents since he's otherwise painting the baseline.
Had this feeling before and it didn't pan out, but Alcaraz feels like the next dominant male player.
I love Tiafoe because he wears his heart on his sleeve. He needs to get hot at the right time, like he did in this tournament, to unseat Andy Roddick as the last American to win a major.

Another great tennis match last night. That Carlos Alcaraz is something special and he's only 19 years old. Barring injuries, we may be witnessing the beginning of an incredible career.
