The match call is strikingly similar to Verne Lundquist's call of Tiger's round the world putt on 16 at Augusta.

NFL Week 1 is full of scripted megaview matchups, such as Russel Wilson against his old Seahawks and Baker Mayfield against the Browns.
Now we can add to that the daddy of them all: due to Zach Wilson's injury, it's the Jets' Joe Flacco going against the Ravens.

Watched Sinner vs Alcaraz until about the middle of the 4th set. Alcaraz looked to be about done, so I gave up. Had to get up earlier than usual because of craftsmen coming for minor home repairs. Looked at the sports news online, and I was amazed at the results. Sinner must have worn down some, and I remember hearing one or another of the commentators say something to the effect that Sinner had "dug as deep as he could" in reference to his efforts.

Holy smokes, almost the same! The Tiger Woods call. The Carlos Alcaraz call.

I forgot that Tiger chipped, not putted.
Shaken, not stirred.

I hope some of you were able to stay up late enough to watch the Alcaraz v Sinner match at the US Open last night. I couldn't, but the wife did. The match went over five hours long and didn't end until almost 3:00 AM EDT.
Alcaraz behind the back shot. 19 freaking years old.
