I looked at the qualifications required, and were I about 30 years younger, I might apply. The only things I don't have in my experience are attachment to a team and experience with an iPhone. All the rest are there. Working under pressure? How about when your data recording and processing equipment craps out during a flight test when the aircraft is at the end of the runway and ready to go? The penalty for missing flight time was $25,000 per hour. This was in 1969 at Douglas Aircraft when the DC-10 was in test. There have been a few other times when an equipment reset was needed, and delay cost money. Knowledge of the rules? I think I can handle that. The biggest problem is that there's nowhere near where I live that is involved. Of course, if I were ever hired, I would do my best to make it fail. Human beings are fallible, the game is played and officiated by humans, and robots are not needed. Please tell me how a robot can do a decent job of ejecting a furious manager. Right, all of the fun of the good, old fashioned rhubarb is gone. I hate the idea.
