Buffalo fans make a nice but very pointed gesture.

I once had back-to-back games with a team whose coach, Coach J, was notoriously hard on umpires. The first game was a very tight affair with Cleveland scouts set up behind the backstop with their jugs gun watching Coach J's pitcher. The game ended in a 2-1 loss for Coach J on 2 unearned runs. He was all over me on nearly every pitch. 2 days later I had him again. My partner and I had to walk right by him as we entered the field. Coach J said something to me about my indicator. I replied that it was the large print model for the vision impaired. From that point on, every game I had with Coach J began with several minutes of laughter.

If you're watching TNF, Donald Parham Jr. suffered a concussion or more serious brain injury hitting the back of his head on the turf trying to complete a touchdown catch. His arms stuck out in what is called a fencing response. Several minutes later his arms were still in an unnatural position and shaking as he was stretchered off the field.

Later in the first half, Fox News callously showed the final seconds of Parham being taken off in slow motion. Joe Buck then suggested that it was cold on the field in Los Angeles and that might be why he was shaking.

I can't believe he could be so ignorant and was never told Parham's movements were signs of what could be exceptionally serious.

I haven't been a Buck basher but I'm starting now. That demonstrated sheer idiocy on a subject that Buck could only know that little about if he's intentionally avoided learning anything about brain injury risk in football. I think he should be fired for this.

rcade, I cringed when I heard Buck say that. What? Just....WHAT?

Fuck Joe Buck, and why in hells name would that video be shown again?

There's an enormous amount of anger over what Buck said, judging by the 17,000 views my tweet is getting.

If Fox fails to apologize during this broadcast, it's one more sign of willfully ignoring the seriousness of the situation.

Sports fans on social media are spectacular morons. Absolutely magnificent. I am dumber this evening having been exposed to their thinking -- and calling it that is generous.

Early report is Parnham is in stable condition. He looked to be in really bad shape. What genius at Fox decided to show that replay clip? And somebody needs to stop Buck from drinking during broadcasts ... what an idiot.
