Trade winds a blowin': Rapters and Bulls talk a liitle swap with Rose and Marshall apparently headed to the T-dot for a combination of AD, MoPete and either Alvin Williams or Michael Bradley. In my opinion, Raptors win this one big time if the deal is done. Rumor of an AD to Dallas for Jamison and Delk also briefly flashed across sports reports here over the weekend too.

I highly doubt that the Mavs will make any moves any time soon. The new squad is finally beginning to gel a bit, and there are some great signs, like the fact that they outrebounded the Spurs in their win on Thursday. That's big. They've also dropped their defensive scoring average by about five points/game compared to last year. I think Cuban will let them play, see what happens.

Vito - I agree for the most part - this is two teams trying to blow-up the mess they've made and save a little face, make it look like their improving without really threatening anyone in either conference - but playoff games are great revenue and without this, the Raps don't sniff the playoffs. We're 12 games into the season - East is still very much a crap-shoot - outside of Indiana and New Orleans, no one scares anyone.

When this rumor first broke, Jerome Williams was said to be part of the package. What happened with that? Maybe, for once, they pulled their heads out of their asses in the Toronto front office and realized that it might not be such a great idea to trade the Junk Yard Dog. (JYD is a fan favourite, regardless of his stats, which are actually quite good anyway.)

He's the only one earning his money Molafson. AD hates it here. It was disgraceful the way he got a dunk blocked yesterday and decided to just hang there instead of going back to defend. And what happens? The Bucks kick our ass. The BUCKS. I respected him as a pro - he's in good shape, works hard and doesn't complain about getting the ball. Good help defender too. But he is clearly doing all the right things to get run out of town now. I'll stop before this turns into TorontoFilter.

Raptors and Bulls make glacial moves. Glacial as in moving forward one inch every 3000 years, alternately, moving back one step for every two forward. OK, we have beat to death that teams in the east can't compete with the west. So then the idea is that if you can just be good enough to win the east then you take your chances with a seven game series against the west champion. Fine. But wtf is this? Two teams with no hope of even winning the east making moves that continue to help them not win anything? If you're not going to swing a big deal that makes a difference then you might as well wait until the off-season.
