At least Jerry no longer has virulent anti-vaxxer "Common Cole" Beasley to deal with. Beasley is Buffalo's problem now.
Beasley has just been sent into mandatory short term quarantine after having contact with a Bills staffer - who tested positive after being vaccinated.
That ironic turn of events could either light the lamp in the Beasley cranial cavern - or harden his outlook and resolve. If he's been thoroughly programmed, the smart money's on the latter.
Meanwhile, Cam Newton has been placed in the same quarantine protocol due to a "misunderstanding" regarding daily testing guidelines for the unvaccinated. He'll lose several days of training camp for the want of a few proper nasal swabs. Cam would be well served to remember that Jonas Gray's spot on the Pats' roster was derailed by a faulty alarm clock / missed practice. And Gray had just lit up the Colts for 200 rushing yards in a stunning breakout performance. It doesn't take much to get sent down the laundry chute in New England.
Yet there always seems to be cause for hope. Kicker Quinn Nordin is still on the Patriots roster despite pushing so many kicks wide right against the Eagles that he looked like he was trying to win games for Florida State against the Canes and Gators.

What was Cam's misunderstanding? Did that ever get explained?

He left the New England geographic area for a team approved "procedure". While away from the area, he was required to have a daily Covid-19 test, which he supposedly did. The problem is that the tests must be done in an NFL facility, which they weren't. Being unvaccinated, Newton is not allowed to return to the facility for 5 days (time done on Thursday), and only after an approved test is negative. With all of the fine print, I can see how the rule could be misunderstood. By taking the vaccine, Newton could have avoided the whole problem.

Thanks Howard, and yes, definitely agree on the last point there.

Jerry Jones, of all people, just exposed the argument that getting a COVID-19 vaccine is a "personal choice" for the selfish nonsense that it is.
