Clippin' along with Kobe: - the speculation on where the aloof and enigmatic Kobe plays next year begins with Stein making a weird suggestion. Where will he play? Stick in LA? Memphis? NYC? Miami? Colorado Penal? (Is that joke old now?)

And furthermore... There's no way general manager John Gabriel and superstar Tracy McGrady should emerge from the Rivers' firing unscathed. Duh! Orlando Magic Fan is not happy. He's trying to get a grass-roots thing going. Yet the outrage in Orlando -- that Gabriel didn't go, too -- could well be short-lived. It's difficult to see how Gabriel will survive at season's end. No its not. Gabriel will stay because DeVos is a moron who just signs the checks apparently, how else can you explain the length of Gabriels current tenure in light of his roster moves? And who seriously will contend for this position? Stan Kasten? I really don't know. Some one recommend a good candidate. I think the McGrady Free Agent countdown can officially begin.

Does anyone else think Kobe, Maggette and Elton Brand would be a pretty decent trio to start with? It's formidable, but without some additional key role players, it's not a championship caliber team right now.

Does Vegas have a Kobe Line?

Nemo: Kinda. I'd love to see Kobe in Memphis. How it would happen, i dunno; but they'd make a reasonable playoff run in the first year.

Yet even I, a well-schooled Clippers skeptic, have faith that Sterling would spend for Bryant. If only Bryant. I wouldn't bet on that. If there is one thing Clip fans know for sure, its that you can't predict the Donald.
