This part Irish, part German, part Portuguese, mostly English umpire is sad today. My games are raining out faster than we can play them. I lost another one today to predicted rain, and my game for tomorrow was canceled last week. The bad part is that the weather is supposed to move in about 5:00, it was a 3:30 game, I had the plate, and I know I would have had those little monsters off the field before the rain. Strike zone? How about dugout corner to dugout corner, top of the backstop to the ankles. That'll get 'em swingin' the bat. So far I have done 2 games and had 3 canceled

I will attend my first Celtic game since March 13, 2000 on the 30th of this month. I was able to get tickets for 3 games with the reduced attendance rules, but with Massachusetts limiting travel from New Hampshire, I let my son have the games. I've had both my shots, I only live about 3 miles from the armed border between MA and NH, but the ban was there nonetheless. MA has opened up since, so the problem has really gone away. Maybe I'll go to church and pray for good weather and some common sense when dealing with the virus.

On the upside, you now have the knowledge to fix a jammed torpedo port on a nuclear submarine.

+1 to NoMich and holden, and erin go bra to Howard. I had my second Pfizer shot yesterday, so far no transmogrification.

Subs, shamrocks, and strikes:

April 11 was National Submarine Day, celebrating the commissioning of the first USN boat, which was designed by an Irishman.

April 11 was also the day that Carl Yastrzemski made his first MLB appearance, playing left field, getting a hit, and throwing a guy out at home plate.

Among the umpires that day were sons of the sod Flaherty and Hurley. And Kinnamon, a Scot.

So, the only real side effects that I experienced today was an onset of a dull headache and stiffness/soreness. I eventually took a few Advil and a looong hot shower and I was then right as rain.

LOL I did! But in the form of a hot shower. I should probably get a biscuit from Bojangles tomorrow morning just in case

I was not great yesterday, with chills and feeling a bit woozy. But a good night's sleep and I seem back to normal. Yay! Also, would like one of those biscuits NoMich.

The Steve Smith biscuit bounce beats the Terrell Owens popcorn cascade every time.

Trying to remember who was caught on camera eating hotdogs on the sideline. Might have been one of the legendary immortals like Sanchez or Leinart.

I helped put the "dern" in Moderna. Saving my Pfizer vouchers for other, more pressing needs.
