I became soccer crazed in 2006. I turned on Fox Soccer Channel one afternoon and before you know it I couldn't get enough of the Premier League. That was my gateway league and now I follow a lot of others closely or casually.

But for some reason I can't get in sync with the Champions League. I keep seeing that a big game is on when I wasn't expecting it or thinking about it, like today's Liverpool-Real Madrid quarterfinal. And I either don't watch or catch the end, the promptly forget that big things are happening and I must follow them or I will miss out, like I did from birth to 2006 all over again.

My DirecTV subscription has a "Scoreguide" feature that gives scores and schedules for all of the major professional sports, including MLS and the more familiar of the European and Mexican leagues. College football and basketball are included. Schedules are given 3 or 4 days in advance, and channel information is included. My complaint is that college ice hockey, lacrosse, and any women's sports are not included. I find the feature handy in determining if there is something worth watching available. We will also record the occasional event that we cannot watch in real time.

From the article that bill posted above:

Reid quickly posted the $100,000 bond and walked free. If he's found guilty, the penalties seem painfully light to the family " a sentence of 1-7 years of incarceration (potentially just one year at the county jail) and a $10,000 fine.
