The Tampa : Bay Lightning are in quite the roster bind. They are already almost $2 million over the salary cap limit but have only 19 players signed. I believe that they the Islanders are in the same bind.

Auburn doesn't have that sort of financial problem.

People have been hollering "Tank for Tua!" "Tank for Trevor!"

They're playing a small game. Guz Malzahn is the boss. He went "Middlin' for Money!".

Auburn just let him go at 6-4. His buyout is over $21 million. It will be paid in full.

Coach Malzahn, get on in that lunch line with Charlie Weis.

Tigers, if you actually want Bill O'Brien, send the Learjet, he's all yours.

Dang it Jomboy, you making me all tear up here. My daughter's elementary school has a Miracle League baseball field on its grounds. Whenever there's a game being played there, there is a ton of people going nuts and cheering their asses off. Love it

I've seen a lot of walk-off wins while umpiring, but it seems that the lower the level the more excitement. At the high school level there was genuine excitement, but kids in their late teens wanted to look "cool". The middle school kids, early teens, get a lot more exuberant, but they still make sure that in their enthusiasm they don't do anything wrong. The Ripken League kids, mostly about 10 to 12 years old, just let it go. The only thing an umpire has to do is watch for the sportsmanship thing (or lack thereof), and get out of the way. It's a great feeling to be part of it, even in such a peripheral role.
