World Cup for baseball?: Looks like it's a real possibility. This has a lot of exciting potential. If I'm not mistaken they have a Softball World Cup.

Might be fun. It would be more interesting to see how they integrate it into the off season and spring training. Plus, it might wear down pitchers in the long run.

How can they play this in March? Are they going to shorten the season by 4-6 weeks?
