It looks like the Browns have got themselves a beastly Byner and Mack 2.0 RB combo. Chubb and Hunt are going to be hard to stop for 4 quarters.

Mayfield might end up being the weak link in that offense.

Meanwhile, Joe Burrow is holding the ball about a half second too long, but that's to be expected at this stage of his pro development. He can squeeze it into tight windows and thus far looks like a proper atonement for the drafting of Akili and Klingler.

Might?

If the Browns could identify 3 or 4 routes he can execute consistently, ensure he sticks to those, and limit the number of passing plays to around 20 a game they might win 6 or 7 games. Of course they won't be up against anything close to the Bengals running D for the majority of their games but they are still better to bank on their RBs than a raw QB who thinks he's a superstar but hasn't adapted to the NFL level of play yet.

Burrow is a raw rookie but showed some impressive potential. From limited exposure he appears to be intelligent and not the type to let his ego get in the way of development.

Award is.....MADE

Buck is.....IN

(The older that Joe Buck and Matt Ryan get, the more interchangeable looking they become.)

This Bengal fan is very impressed by Burrow so far. Gotta speed up a few of those reads a bit (having a proper line would help, too), but he sure seems to make the right choice most of the time, and executes once he has made his decision.

Pretty impressive debut against what was a top 10 NFL passing defense in 2019. Behind an O Line ranked 31st none the less. Hopefully management has learned from Indy's failure and finds the guy some protection before they waste what appears to be a franchise QB.
