I have family in Nova Scotia, and the Facebook posts show the province is nearly in lockdown. I would bet that the rest of Canada is close to the same. While the most optimistic scenarios have this thing becoming a little better, most don't expect anything like normalcy before summer. Even if the health situation improves worldwide by May, having the Olympics in the summer would be difficult. Rainy season usually hits in the Tokyo area in late May or June, so there's that too.
