We now have our 2019 Cricket World Cup semifinals set in stone.
Tuesday, July 9: India v New Zealand
Thursday, July 11: Australia v England
Sunday, July 14: Final
During the opening round, England crushed New Zealand and handled India with ease. However, they had a very bad day versus Australia during their match. It was so bad that it's probably just an anomaly, or at least England is hoping that is the case. India's only bad day was against England, and their match with New Zealand was a rain out. Hoo man, some good storylines here!
Pakistan actually tied with New Zealand in the standings, but NZ had a just barely positive net run rate while Pakistan had a just barely negative net run rate. Just to make matters more interesting, Pakistan had one of the last games of the opening round versus Bangladesh, but only won by 93 runs, which was clearly not enough to get them into the semifinals.

Messi got a red card today for standing his ground after being repeatedly chest butted.

Why did Messi get the card as well? Crazy

I feel bad for the Swedes, having had to go to extra time against the Netherlands and with one day less than England to recover before today's match. Phil Neville likely wants this game as a program mile marker as well.
