Since no one has posted for a few days, I'm going to give y'all a sizzling hot take:

Duke's Daniel Jones is the best quarterback in the 2019 NFL draft.

I think UNC can't wait for Jones to leave and Wake, Clemson and Virginia want him to stay for another year.

Bryce Harper vowed to "bring a title back to D.C."

So, speaking of Bryce Harper: did he put himself in a better situation to win a World Series? It seems to me that the Nationals had a better overall team than the Phillies do right now. Is that a correct reading?

The majority of Nats fans I know (including myself) are disappointed that he is leaving--though we made peace with that a few months ago--mostly because we liked his personality and his highlight moments, but we are generally feeling pretty good about the future without him.

But did his chances of making a World Series go up or down by leaving the Nats for the Phils?

Depends on whether or not the Phils decide to dump a pile of cash on other free agents like they have done in past. Wait ... never worked then either.

I think both teams have made moves this offseason to improve their position. I think I like where the Nats sit vs. the Phillies due to pitching and young players like Soto and Turner (thus, no to your question), but I wouldn't say he took himself out of contention. I am wondering if the pressure that he has put on himself due to the spectacle of this offseason will be a motivator or a detriment.
