This past week saw the death of John "Pie" McKenzie at age 80. McKenzie was a member of the Boston Bruins on the Stanley Cup winning teams in 1970 and 1972. Not noted as a scorer, he was placed on a line with John Bucyk and Fred Stanfield, and he began scoring in bunches. He was fearless on the ice and a colorful character both on and off the ice. I cannot find a reference for this, but after one of the Stanley Cup parades, McKenzie was on the platform set up in Government Center along with the rest of the team and the usual gaggle of politicians. The beer had been flowing freely, and McKenzie decided that one of the politicians needed some suds. He then proceeded to dump beer all over the head of a politician. I think it was Louise Day Hicks, a controversial member of the Boston School Committee, but I may be mistaken.
On another subject, I heard today that Ken "Hawk" Harrelson, former player and current, broadcaster for the Chicago White Sox, was planning to retire at the end of this season. If this is true, and The Hawk is old enough to retire, then I am pushing Methuselah for the world's oldest man title.

According to Belichick on SnapFace, Spotify won the Belmont, the guy that didn't attend the team OTA's came in second, and the Indy colt ran as hard as it could with no luck.
