Having waded (as a passive, as opposed to active, participant) into the comments threads in a couple of articles about ESPN's layoffs and declining viewership, it appears that a vocal segment of right-leaning people think ESPN is very liberal and believe that right-of-center-types are abandoning ESPN in droves.
(As far as I can tell, the basis for this complaint has to do with there being a "black" SportsCenter, plus The Undefeated, plus firing Schilling, plus Michael Sam, and generally bending over backwards for, or "hitting us over the head" with, multiculturalism and moral relativism or somesuch.)
So I do wonder whether this re-engagement of Bocephus is a conscious or subconscious attempt to "balance" the ledger, so to speak.

If I had been tasked with firing Schilling, it would have been my honor and privilege to catch hell for doing so.

Sorry about the space. To quote Douglas Adams, space is really big.

Hank Williams Jr. is no longer too offensive for Monday Night Football.
