Why would the SEC want four more teams? Unless they plan to push out the less financially useful schools somehow...

They would have 2/3 of the big time programs in Florida and then the entire states of South Carolina and Oklahoma.

$$ MONEY $$
Good move for the teams also. The payback for being the best in the ACC typically doesn't return a whole lot even if you beat the crap out of an over-ranked SEC team in a bowl. A move to the SEC pretty much ensures that you will be ranked at the start of the season and will have a shot a a championship if you beat a few over-ranked SEC teams and the out of conference patsies you schedule at home each year.

It is well that things like this are not included as prizes in our several pick 'em contests.

Howard, I believe that gives a whole new meaning to the Lanterne Rouge concept.

Today on local sports radio, some guy claiming to have a source way high up on the ACC food chain claimed that at the end of the 2019 football season, Florida State and Clemson will leave the conference to join the SEC East. Also, that Oklahoma and Oklahoma State will leave the Big 12 and join the SEC West.
