You can track the 2017 Baseball Hall of Fame public voting results here.

So far:

  • Tim Raines is looking VERY good to getting into the HOF on his last available ballot.
  • Jeff Bagwell is on pace to get into the HOF on his 7th try, barring a complete collapse among the remaining unseen voters.
  • Trevor Hoffman seems to be stalling, and is right on the edge of making it. He might have to wait another year or two.
  • Ivan Rodriguez is getting great support in his first year, but the general trend for private ballots vs public ballots is that the private voters (for the final time this is allowed) don't like newcomers. He might get in, he might not, but he'll be close enough that he'll probably get in on his second ballot.
  • Vlad Guerrero is having a STRONG first ballot, but will probably fall short. He's setting himself up for a probable election in the next 3 or 4 ballots.
  • The election of Bud Selig by the Veterans Committee has seemed to have loosened the noose around PED-suspects Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens. They have both picked up quite a few new votes from their previous tries.
  • Everyone hates Curt Schilling. His vote totals (from the public ones so far) have dropped significantly. It might have to do with his politics, or at least his public Tweeting.

I'm not losing sleep over Schilling's chances. He'll get a consolation prize when he's named US Ambassador to the Philippines.

Chuckin' rocks at galahs. How the fastest woman bowler learned her craft.

Good bye, EE.

We'll always have the Parrot Walk Off, and the original Home Run Hat Trick.

May 8th will be an emotional day, indeed.
