Tonight's TNF game was the best Color Rush contest I've seen. Really love those Chargers unis.
I still don't care too much for all orange sets - the Denver players look like doses of pediatric strep throat medicine. But the Broncos brought out their old helmet logo, which was a great move. I never have liked the bottle opener horsehead logo that is now almost 20 years old.

TB Lightning has their home season opener tonight! For the last week, the local sports radio guys have been on a tear, lauding team ownership and management about being able to not only attract top tier talent, but to retain it over multiple seasons. The Lightning's ability to resign free-agents provides stark contrast to the other Tampa Bay pro-sports franchises, where top talent becomes plundered by other prominent franchises (TB Rays losing David Price, Ben Zobrist, etc, come immediately to mind).
Many local hockey fans assumed that we would lose at least two of three of the Lightning's top players (of Stamkos, Bishop, or Kucherov) in the offseason! This could be our year to bring Lord Stanley back home to the 'Bay :).
