I find myself watching the Dodgers & Atlanta game for no particular reason, other than it came on after the Blue Jays & Red Sox tilt. Vin Scully, man, the best ever. Among other topics covered during this 12-5 mismatch (B 8) are 1 man bands and dead horses in the road.

I saw that dead horse quote on Twitter. Hilarious.

The Centenario has been rough sledding so far. Few goals, little quality play, Mexico fans yelling a homophobic slur and players on the ground claming injury every three minutes.

I'll credit Uruguay with a spirited 2nd half, coming back out of the locker room with 10 men. Ultimately, I think they got lost in their anger with the refs, though.

Mexico fans yelling a homophobic slur

Seriously. When is Mexico going to grow up?

Unfortunately, at the moment, we in the US do not have the right to call the Mexican kettle black. We have name calling issues of our own.

Fair enough. I have appreciated the efforts of USSoccer and American Outlaws in recent years to take action on this sort of thing.
