I thought Coldplay might be good during the halftime show.

I thought wrong.

It's weird when your headliner is dressed like the least interesting thing on the field, yields way to two better headliners of recent years and then doesn't do much of anything to accompany them. (Bruno Mars and Beyonce were good, though.)

The only thing Coldplay led that worked was the montage of past halftime acts, which put the band in the background or didn't show them at all.
