So, I wonder how well those Australian rugby lads would fare in the NFL? Oh, OK.

Tim Tebow had some nice throws last night, including a 45-yard bomb and two touchdowns. He threw one pick on a fourth-and-15 that ended a drive close to the end zone and was elusive in the pocket, turning some sacks into decent gains.

I don't know if he'll make the team -- why keep a third quarterback anyway, Chip? -- but I feel like he might be an actual backup quarterback now.

The U.S. Open added a rule for water breaks this year because of the heat, but in a boneheaded move only allowed them for women. One of the men, Jack Sock, collapsed on the court yesterday.

Wow.

Never mind the discussion about "gender equality", how do you not implement it for the group of players that are REQUIRED to play more tennis (best of 5 vs best of 3)?

Bryce Harper scores four runs and an RBI on zero at-bats. Coulda been five, but they put in a pinch hitter in the 6th while up by 13.

Since he didn't actually swing a bat even ONCE during any of his plate appearances (20 pitches in all), this may be a "record" that is entirely NOT the product of the person now holding the "record". I could have set this record by just standing at the plate, and walking/running on command.

It's like Biggio holding the hit-by-pitch record. All he did was get hit. The record should be held by the pitchers that plunked him.

Not swinging is harder than it looks. Ask Michael Jordan or Pete Incaviglia.

I always figured young Greg Inglis would be a better NFL prospect than Hayne, but good luck to him.

And Craig Biggio had it comin'.
