Is it any coincidence that the baseball teams with the most webloggers on BaseballBlogs are the wait-'til-next-year Red Sox and Cubs?

Let me get this out of the way right now... "Why are there so many Boston/Chicago blogs? Because they have the most time in August, September and October!" bah-dum-ching! Seriously? We're passionate and we're knowledgeable.

No. Cubs fans are passionate. If they were knowledgeable they wouldn't waste all their vacation days showing up for day games at Wrigley Field putting more money into the coffers of the Trib which seems content to run the team a la Connie Mack-- good enough to get fannies in theseats but not so good you have to pay a lot for players.
