A salute to veterans at Saturday's Giants-Nationals game. Army SFC Brian Keaton throws out the first pitch with a certain style.

Tennessee fans at Saturday's game vs. Florida checkerboarded their stadium, a fan-led effort a week in the making.

That Tennessee checkerboard is very impressive.

That checkerboard indeed rocks.

My high school alma mater just cancelled the remainder of the football season amid allegations of "inappropriate conduct of a significant and serious nature".

Wow, goddam, that story, well, I just am not sure what but it threw me for a bad loop. BillSaysThis isn't speechless often, as you well know.

Yeah, I've had a sick feeling in my stomach since learning about this. I think it may be the reaction of the parents. And the random adults/ex-players showing up and harassing reporters. I don't ever remember football being this big of a deal when I lived there. But, then again, the team wasn't all that great when I was a kid. I guess 20 years of winning changes things.

Plus the defensive coordinator got busted for steroid possession recently. Bad shit all around.

All this hoo-hah just because of some rectal play. No wonder the parents are mad they're blaming the kids!

Gross.

I always hated the logic of "we're doing this to you because it was done to us." It kept me far away from frats when I began college.
