Radamel Falcao to ManU, one year loan for nearly $10M and an option to buy him next Summer for 43.5m. Without questioning the Colombia striker's fitness for task or value for money, one does wonder why he was signed. Especially if they have another striker on the books good enough to play for Real Madrid.
Will Rooney be happy dropping deeper to play behind van Persie and Falcao? Where does this leave $100M man Angel di Maria and 37M price tagged Juan Mata, much less the emerging star Adnan Januszi and England winger Ashley Young?
More importantly, how does Falcao solve ManU's biggest problem of having a miserable defensive core--all that dosh to splash but not a central defender to fit the bill?

Man U's moves feel like flailing to me. Can they really keep throwing money at their problems and expect a team to gel into a top-4 squad this season?
