Couch VS. Holcomb II: Electric Boogaloo?: Summer signings got ya down? What's your favorite QB controversy, or tet a tete? The aforementioned Couch vs. Holcomb? Maddox vs. Kordell? Bledsoe vs. Brady? Warner vs. Bulger? Greg vs. Marsha's nose? Whenever QB's get together for training camp hilarity ensues.
Did the Browns win six straight? Cuz I don't remember that happening.

My personal most interesting battle is out here with the 49ers: Ken Dorsey vs. Brandon Doman for the #3 slot. I don't see Rattay ever making a run for the starting job and I do think that Dorsey was way underrated in the draft. Garcia is starting to have back problems and is already 33 years old, so I wonder how many more 3000 passing yard seasons he has left.

Garcia is 33? That is the oldest 33 I have ever seen.

Uh oh, lilnemo, you need to update your stat sheet! Kordell is gonna start for the Chicago Bears and Bledsoe is a Buffalo Bill. Watch out for Matt Hasselbach for the Hawks this year. He put up some sick numbers towards the end of last year and appears to have a good grip on Mike Holmgren's offense. The QB's to watch this year, IMHO are Jake the Snake Plummer for Denver and Brian Griese's competition with Jay Fiedler in Miami.

What about Mike McMahon/Joey Harrington? Why is everyone snickering? =D

Oops, I meant #1 QB vs. #2 on the depth chart all-time, not just this season. I was using Couch vs. Holcomb to illustrate the theme of the post as it was the easiest current link (a veritable ESPN fpp). I thought the Brady Bunch link would convey the historical bent of the post, but alas Marsha's shnozz was too subtle.

I thought Holcomb was painful to watch but he got the job done. Not sure how, but if he outperforms couch, then he deserves it. But, with another year under his belt, Couch could have improved and earn it... ultimately I think he'll be the better QB. I'll be happy to watch Plummer in Denver... and watch him fail miserably. He's bad.

Holcomb, hands down, should be #1 QB in Cleveland. Did you SEE the way he played in Couch's absence? It wasn't that far from the impression Bulger made in StLouis in Warner's absence.
