If you run off a 5-game winning streak in the NBA eastern conference, you're pretty much guaranteeing yourself a top 3 seed.

Not sure any of those teams are capable of winning 5 games in a row.
I would say maybe this is the year the NBA realizes that the current division system is silly but the entire Eastern Conference is so bad that I don't think anyone will care when the Atlantic (Titanic) division winner finishes under .500 and gets a 4-seed.

The last place team in the NBA's Southwest division would be two games out of first in the Atlantic. Boston is 12-15 and the southwestern mecca of Memphis is 10-15.
